    Brightwater Science, Environmental and Indigenous Learning CentreBrightwater Science, Environmental and Indigenous Learning Centre
    The Centre provides unique land-based programming for middle years and high school students. Brightwater programming is an extension of classroom learning. It is delivered through the integration of a variety of curricular subject areas, is based on the ecological knowledge of native prairie landscapes, and honours Indigenous perspectives, content and ceremonies.

    Creative Action is a specialized, full-year program for Grade 8 students who have shown leadership potential and a desire to cultivate their passion in the arts to make a difference in their community and beyond. The Creative Action program is located at North Park Wilson School.

    Ecoquest is a unique ecological, outdoor adventure program for Grade 8 students that provides active and challenging learning experiences. Located at City Park School, Grade 8 students division-wide apply to be part of the program.

    English as an Additional LanguageEnglish as an Additional Language
    Students who are learning English as an additional language (EAL) may be eligible for support through EAL programming provided by a specialized EAL teacher at the school. Programming may vary depending on the needs of the student and the supports available at each school.

    Flexible Schedule Blended Learning (FLEX)Flexible Schedule Blended Learning (FLEX)
    The FLEX program allows students in Grades 6 to 12 to combine education with outside, high-level training. Located at City Park School.

    French ImmersionFrench Immersion
    Saskatoon Public Schools offers its kindergarten to Grade 8 elementary French immersion program at 10 elementary schools. French immersion students learn French and English and follow provincial curricula.

    A home-based education program is a program based in the home, started and directed by the parents or guardians, for their own children between the ages of six and 17 years inclusive.

    The iGen program sees Grade 6 students spend a full school year in a unique classroom experience at Sherbrooke Community Centre. iGen is short for intergenerational classroom, and the program has students working with and learning from the Elders of Sherbrooke. Grade 6 students division-wide apply for the program.

    Kindergarten is a special time and place in the life of a young child. Saskatoon Public Schools are open to all children and dedicated to embracing every student. Kindergarten classes are small to encourage individualized education and include a strong literacy component.

    Let’s Lead – Nīkānētān is a full school year program for Grade 8 students who enjoy being in the outdoors and want to improve their leadership and teamwork skills while working on curriculum in a practical format. Based at Westmount Community School, Grade 8 students division-wide apply to be a part of the program.

    Métis Cultural ProgramMétis Cultural Program
    The Métis Cultural Program at Westmount Community School was created to preserve, strengthen and transmit Métis culture and traditions in Saskatchewan. It includes all students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and is delivered exclusively from a Métis perspective.

    Mii Taant leur Plaas Michif Early Learning ProgramMii Taant leur Plaas Michif Early Learning Program
    The Mii Taant leur Plaas Michif early learning program is designed to preserve, strengthen and transmit Michif language, culture and traditions. This full-day, unique program provides children ages 3, 4 and 5 with an experience that will build a strong cultural Michif/Métis identity and increased academic success.

    MontessoriMontessori
    The Montessori elementary program is offered to students in Grades 1 to 8 at City Park School and Casa (kindergarten) to Grade 3 at Lakeridge School. Montessori philosophy and methodology is used to deliver Saskatchewan curricula. Students must apply to the program.

    The Nêhiyâwiwin Cree Language and Culture Program at wâhkôhtowin School is a bilingual learning strategy that focuses on creating a language- and culture-rich classroom environment for prekindergarten to Grade 8 students.

    Saskatoon Public Schools Academically Gifted Education (SAGE) is a congregated program for gifted students in grades 5 to 12. Admission is by invitation or application. It is offered at three elementary schools: Greystone Heights, Caswell and Dr. John G. Egnatoff, as well as two high schools.
