Walking With Our Sisters
Starting on Thursday October 30, 2014, Wanuskewin Heritage Park will be hosting Walking With Our Sisters (W.W.O.S.): A Commemorative Art Installation for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women of Canada and the United States of America.

Three members of our Saskatoon Public Schools’ team who have been part of the organizing committee to bring this art installation to Saskatoon will be in attendance.
• Ms. Marnie Ross, Educational Consultant, FNIM Educational Unit
• Ms. Linda Young, Traditional Knowledge Keeper and Grandmother for W.W.O.S.
• Ms. Holly Mayes, Administrative Assistant, FNIM Educational Unit

Ms. Ross will briefly explain the W.W.O.S. professional development session that was recently held for Saskatoon Public Schools’ teachers in order to provide background information before taking students to Wanuskewin. She will be joined by Brianna Daniels, Bedford Road Collegiate grade twelve student, who was part of the presentation panel along with Saskatoon Public Schools’ staff and First Nation, Inuit and Métis community members. Brianna provided a student perspective on this important social justice issue.
