Students Under Age 22

Students between the ages of 18 to 22 who have not completed the requirements for Grade 12 graduation may register at Nutana Collegiate, Royal West Campus or Online Learning Secondary to complete the courses needed. There is no charge for tuition.

Students under the age of 22 who have graduated and wish to upgrade courses may take up to two classes at no charge per school year if they are registered by September 30. Students pay tuition of $500 per class if they register after September 30.

For more information for upgrading, click here or contact one of the following programs.

  • Nutana Collegiate
    • Students take courses in-person in a quarter system format (two classes per day for 10 weeks with four intake times per year).
    • The majority of students are at the senior level and are upgrading marks in a few courses, completing prerequisites for specific post-secondary programs or returning to school to meet final graduation requirements.
    • Nutana offers an on-site daycare, student parent support centre (Jacoby Centre), daily breakfast program and school community supports for outreach.
    • Contact by phone at 306-683-7580 or by email at NutanaSchool@spsd.sk.ca.
  • Royal West Campus
    • Continuous intake of students until springtime (March 31 of each school year).

    • The majority of students are upgrading marks in senior-level courses, completing prerequisites for specific post-secondary programs, or returning to school to meet final graduation requirements.
    • An on-site daycare provides care for children of Royal West students. Nutrition support and support to obtain personal identification documents is also provided for students as well as access to cultural activities.
    • Contact by phone at 306-683-7540 or by email at RoyalWestSchool@spsd.sk.ca.

  • Online Learning Secondary

Students Over Age 22

In Saskatchewan, students can attend school in the school division where they reside if they have not yet attained the age of 22 years. Beginning in 2022-23, Saskatoon Public Schools will no longer provide programming for students 22 and over.

A 21-year-old student who has not yet graduated, is registered with the division and is actively attending classes on or before September 30 does not pay an adult student tuition fee for that school year, even if they turn 22 during the school year. Current Saskatoon Public Schools students who are turning 22 should contact their school counsellor to assist with transition and academic planning.

For students aged 22 or older, there are course options available for upgrading and fulfilling graduation requirements. Please contact one of the following organizations for more information on their offerings.
