Lessons learned through a language class can truly last a lifetime as the acquired skills can be used for employment and travel. The opportunity to learn about another culture is invaluable. There is an urgent requirement for qualified speakers of languages other than English in areas of science, technology, medicine and global commerce. It is also proven that students studying a second language have superior divergent thinking and memory ability.
