Description: History 30 is a Canadian Studies program emphasizing the relationships and forces that have shaped and continue to shape the Nation of Canada. The units of study include: paradigms, confederation, external affairs, and nationalism. Key content areas include: Indigenous peoples of Canada and their relationships with European settlers and Canadian government. The road to confederation, Canada's role in WWI and WWII. Canadian Identity: Western Alienation and Quebec separatism, leading up to current political events. The key skill of Dialectical Reasoning will be employed to address controversial issues.
