Collegiates present musical productions during December

Students will be telling a tale as old as time and kicking off their Sunday shoes during musical productions being staged at Saskatoon Public Schools collegiates.

Beauty and the Beast and Footloose are two of the productions taking place during December. Each production sees dozens of students involved on-stage or in technical and support roles, all under the leadership and guidance of teachers.

Tickets  for each performance are available at the door or contact the school for more information. 

Footloose at Marion M. Graham Collegiate 

Based on the 1984 film, Footloose is the story of high school student Ren McCormack who moves from Chicago to a rural community and sparks a student rebellion against a town ban on dancing.
Tuesday, Dec. 5, Thursday, Dec. 7, Friday Dec. 8, and Saturday Dec. 9 (all at 7 p.m.)

James and the Giant Peach at Evan Hardy Collegiate

Based on the Roald Dahl book of the same name, orphan James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree when he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach and launches a journey of enormous proportions.
Wednesday, Dec. 6, Thursday, Dec. 7, Friday, Dec. 8, and Saturday Dec. 9 (all at 7 p.m.)

Beauty and the Beast at Bedford Road Collegiate

Adapted from the Disney animated film, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of a cold-blooded prince who has been magically transformed into an unsightly creature as punishment for his selfish ways and must first earn the love of a woman to revert into his true human form.
