SFSbus_news.jpgThree students from Sylvia Fedoruk School and a classroom of students from École College Park School will see their art on the move during the summer months.

Art created by the students was chosen as winners of Saskatoon Transit's Student Art Contest. The contest, which was open to all grade 3 and 7 students in Saskatoon, encouraged students to create art based on the theme of active transportation as a way to promote the use of public transportation.

The entry by Sylvia Fedoruk Grade 7 students Nimarta, Nicoletta, and Zehua and the art created by teacher Linda Liebrecht's class were selected in judging done by a member of Paved Arts based on how well they reflected the theme. The winning pieces were selected from 130 entries received from 19 schools.

The winning artwork will be displayed on the side of Saskatoon Transit buses traveling throughout the city during July and August. The students will receive a $375 prize courtesy of the program's sponsors.
