Inspiring Learning
Secondary Autism Resource Room

The Autism Resource Program (ARP) is for secondary students who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and require intensive support with developing skills in the areas of communication, social thinking, self-regulation, and independence.

Students who access support through this program attend regular or modified courses in collegiate classrooms and benefit from support provided by resource teachers with specialized knowledge and training related to supporting students with ASD. ARP teachers work closely with classroom teachers to implement strategies to support participation in an inclusive environment and student learning.

Students may access the ARP room for quiet seat work, one on one assistance, tutorial, or online classes. Students may also receive individualized programming to address their social-emotional and academic needs.

The Autism Resource Program is offered at Marion M. Graham and Evan Hardy collegiates.
