King George School
Inspiring Learning
Principal's Greeting
On behalf of our students, families and staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you to King George Community School.

When newcomers come to King George -- a "castle" school built in 1912, rich in history and tradition -- they can not help but notice the size of the building and the beautiful architecture. An outside mural at the front of our school reads, "A Good Place For All to Learn and Grow." When you enter our school, one of the first things you notice is the spacious hardwood hallways. Since we are a culturally responsive school, artwork, some completed by professionals and others by our students, adorns the front showcase and walls. Along both sets of stairs leading to the second floor, two more murals also depicting A Good Place For All to Learn and Grow welcome you.

Our goal is to build strong and trusting relationships with every individual because we know the benefits of working collectively. That is why throughout the year in every school newsletter we emphasize "Together We Are Better!"

King George Community School is the heart of our community. We not only serve as a centre that inspires student learning during the day, but also offer families opportunities throughout the year to engage in free programs made available after regular school hours through our School Community Coordinator.
