Preparations underway to welcome students to Chief Whitecap School

October 05, 2016

Stonebridge_web.jpgPreparations are underway to welcome students to Chief Whitecap School, one of four new Saskatoon Public Schools elementary schools scheduled to open in September 2017.

Work on the joint-use school projects located in the Stonebridge, Evergreen, Hampton Village, and Rosewood neighbourhoods reached the halfway mark in mid-September and the projects are on-schedule for early summer 2017 occupancy to begin preparation for classes.

Earlier this year, Saskatoon Public Schools appointed principals for all four of the new schools, including Mr. Harold Robertson at Chief Whitecap School, located in the Stonebridge neighbourhood. All of the principals will assume full-time duties for their new schools early in 2017.

Registration information for the schools will be available during the fall of 2016. Questions about student enrolment and education matters related specifically to Chief Whitecap School can be addressed to Principal Robertson via email.

Each of the four joint-use projects being built by the Government of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon will also include a 90-space childcare facility. Once the childcare providers for each location have been selected the respective providers will provide information to parents on registration and other details.

Webcams installed at each of the sites allow the public to follow the construction process. Links to the cameras are available on our New School Construction webpage.
