Deferrals

If your plans to study with us change for any reason, you have the option to defer your start date, which means postponing it until the next student intake.

In the case of a deferral, any tuition fees that have already been paid will be kept by Saskatoon International Education and applied to the next semester’s tuition (the following September or February).

Note: If your deferral falls in a new school year, there may be additional fees to pay at the next tuition payment due date as fees may increase year to year. For example, a deferral from February 2024 to September 2024 would result in a small fee difference due to the increase in fees for the 2024-25 school year (i.e., $6,600 for a semester in February 2024 becomes $6,800 for a semester in September 2024). Any fee difference payment would be due on the new intake tuition due date.

Should you require a deferral, please complete and submit this Deferral Request Form and include any supporting documentation, such as a study permit refusal or an explanation of your change in circumstance.

Note: Your first deferral is free and any additional deferrals will be subject to a $400.00 administrative fee.
