English Language Arts B30 (ELA B30) is an issue-based course where students explore their thoughts, beliefs, and assumptions as they examine issues related to their world and the world of others.

Issue-based units in this curriculum are:

Unit I: The Search for Self

Related issues include Identity and Sense of Self, Ideals; Joy and Inspiration; Doubt and Fear.

Unit II: The Social Experience

Related issues include Dealing with Universal Issues; Ambition, Power, and the Common Good; Social Criticism; Addressing the Issues

These issues will be explored using a variety of resources as well as incorporating the experiences of all participants in the course as a part of the learning experience.

Throughout this course, we will experiment with a variety of vehicles for expressing our knowledge that could include discussion posts, digital storytelling as well as other conventional and unconventional methods.
