Volunteer

Why You?

You have an interest in making a meaningful contribution in the community.  You have ideas, skills, expertise and knowledge and you want to share them with people and projects that matter.  You care about children and you understand the importance and value of education.  You understand that helping children reach their learning potential prepares them for a brighter future.  You also know that some students face barriers that make it difficult to see themselves as confident learners.  You know that you can make a difference!

Why SPS Foundation?

The Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to mobilizing community support for extraordinary initiatives that go above and beyond for students attending Saskatoon Public Schools.  We want students to have a passion for life-long learning, to realize their potential, and to have confidence. We believe young people have tremendous potential as future leaders and active members of our community. It is our experience that public education is at its best when the community participates in student success.

What Now?

There are many initiatives that you can become involved in that will make a difference for students and we want to connect you in a way that values your time and talents.  If you have an interest we have a program or initiative that will likely be a good fit. The Foundation has a call out for volunteers to help with:
  • Community Reader for the Literacy Tutor Program
  • Fundraising
  • Event planning and organizing
  • Photographer/videographer/writer
  • Social media
  • Administrative help
