Pride 2022

Saskatoon Public Schools celebrated Pride Month during June to show our support for 2SLGBTQ+ students, families, and staff members.

For the first time, the Pride flag was raised above the Board of Education office where it will fly for the entire month. Members of the school division's SPS Pride Network, for employees who are part to the 2SLGBTQ+ community, shard in the event.

Schools engaged in a number of activities, events, and learning opportunities during the month as one way to support the school division's commitment to save, caring and accepting learning environments. On Friday, June 17, all staff were invited to wear their SPS Pride shirts and other symbols of Pride.

For the sixth year Saskatoon Public Schools was a participant in the annual pride parade which took place Saturday, June 18. Division staff members and GSAs, along with students and families, were invited to join in an in-person celebration of Pride for the first time since June 2019.
