Preparations are underway for the 12th annual Saskatoon Public Schools Literacy for Life Conference that will take place May 1-4, 2017, at TCU Place and the University of Saskatchewan.
The Literacy for Life Conference has played an important role in giving children, youth and adults the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by the work of nationally and internationally recognized authors and illustrators. Your support and belief in the importance of literacy and inspiring learning will provide an opportunity for students to experience a fully funded literacy event.
Last year, the conference's workshops, readings and performances provided approximately 6,500 students with the opportunity to experience first-hand the joy of reading, writing and storytelling. Every year we are excited by stories of the positive impact and memories that the Literacy for Life Conference creates for our students as well as the roster of presenters from across Canada.
Our conference theme for 2017 is Saskatchewan Stories celebrating our local authors, illustrators and storytellers. Literacy for Life is a highlight of the year and has helped to spread the message of the importance of literacy throughout our schools and among our families and the wider Saskatoon community.
We would truly appreciate your involvement this year and we thank you for considering sponsorship of the Literacy for Life Conference. Your contribution will inspire a love of reading and writing in our young people. You can find the sponsorship package here.
