Saskatoon's first high school hockey program is offered at Walter Murray Collegiate for students in Grade 9. Following Hockey Canada's skill development program, students participate in two one hour ice-sessions per week throughout the school year at the nearby Lions Arena. Students participate in physical education classes during the off-ice days. Dave Adolph, long-time head coach of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies men's hockey team is the on-ice instructor. The Hockey Program is geared to students of all athletic abilities. For more information, contact Walter Murray Collegiate at 683-7850.

In the fall of 2009, Bedford Road Collegiate began to offer a hockey program that mirrors Walter Murray's. The Cosmo Civic Centre is the venue, with Scott Owens serving as the instructor. For further details, contact Bedford Road Collegiate at 683-7650.
