About our School

Welcome to Confederation Park Community School. We are a vibrant school of about 400 students, 160 families and 50 staff members. We are home to families of many cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds, including First Nations, Métis and new immigrants to Canada. We are a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 school, and host Saskatoon's only Cree Language and Culture Program from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3. Free busing from anywhere in the city is included with this program.

Confederation Park is fortunate to have five Resource Teachers on staff to support student learning. Programming for English as an Additional Language (EAL) students is also available. Our school houses an alternate educational program for students with special learning needs. We also have in our building a parent cooperative childcare facility. As they grow older, children from the daycare can easily transition to our school setting.

As a community school, we follow a community education model. This model supports learning for all members of our school family. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment. Our vision is To Cultivate the Full Potential within each Student. Confederation Park offers numerous learning opportunities and activities, some of which include an award winning literacy program, hands-on math initiatives, extensive arts education programming, an emphasis on research skills, and outdoor learning programs. We also provide several before school, noon hour and after school activities.

We invite parents and caregivers to be part of their children's learning. Located in the heart of our building is the Community Room where parents and caregivers will always find the coffee on and conversation lively! Come and be a part of our Adult Book Club or computer classes. Come support your child by volunteering in his or her classroom or in our Helping Hands Group. During the school year, we offer Monday evening learning events for all community members. Some of these activities may include Family Games Night, Dog Obedience Training, Parenting Information and Child Find Identification Clinics. Our large school library also includes an adult section for parents and caregivers.

Our School Community Council (SCC) actively provides input into the education of our students. Our Parent and Community School Council (PCSC) provides leadership in fundraising events and initiatives that support student learning. We invite parents to become members of the SCC or PCSC and help contribute to the life and vitality of Confederation Park Community School.

We are a Nutrition Positive School and promote healthy lifestyle choices.

In partnership with several community-based organizations and businesses, we provide a quality nutrition program. Our Nutrition Coordinator makes breakfast, lunch and snacks daily. The nutrition program is available to all students on an as needed basis.

Our staff, students and community adhere to the motto: Share Our Gifts Through Respect, Responsibility and Positive Relationships. We strive to create a safe, warm environment where all students and families feel welcome and valued. At Confederation Park, we celebrate life long learning and invite you to join us!!
