About Our School
École Dundonald School has been a cornerstone of the Dundonald community since it was built in 1987. The school is named after a castle in Scotland. A new addition to the school was later constructed in 1999. A French Immersion program was added in the fall of 2017. There are dedicated classroom spaces for art, science, music and band. Our students utilize the full-sized gymnasium with stage, a multi-purpose room and a central learning resource centre.

The school features kindergarten to Grade 8 classes in both English and French. We are home to a Junior Functional Life Skills class. The staff offer our diverse student population an opportunity to develop their potential in a broad range of high-quality programs based on the provincial curriculum. Our students are engaged in extracurricular opportunities, including basketball, volleyball, wilderness club, track, badminton, choir, musical and social justice club.

École Dundonald School is proud of our history and traditions. We invite you to visit our school, step into our lobby and gaze upwards. You will see the sun shining through stained glass panels installed yearly by our graduating class. The diversity of the panels reminds us that everyone has a voice in our school.
