Grade 12 final marks are one indicator if successful learning. The Ministry of Education tracks Grade 12 final marks in terms of the percentage of students who achieved a final grade within a particular range. For example, when we look at the distribution of Saskatoon Public Schools’s Grade 12 students’ Physics 30 final grades, we see that 3.09% of our students finished with a final grade between 0 and 49; 9.27% had final grades between 50 and 59; 13.45% had final grades between 60 and 69; 25.45% had final grades between 70 and 79; 33.09% had final grades between 80 and 89; and, 15.64% had final grades between 90 and 100.
